Special Containment Procedures: The entrance to SCP-6818 has been sealed. A series of remotely operated drones conduct surveillance of SCP-6818.

Description: SCP-6818 is an extradimensional space located in an unmarked woodland area near Gyumri, Armenia. SCP-6818’s entrance appears as a large1, white tear in space, located atop a rock face.

This leads to a space of indefinite proportions, characterized by a sky-like panorama that stretches onward and around the anomaly. SCP-6818 is, to the best efforts of the Foundation’s exploration and research teams, entirely devoid of all life to the microbial level2.

The entirety of SCP-6818’s landscape, from as far as the Foundation has been able to observe, is a massive metropolis of unknown name, origin, age, history, architectural style, and civilization. Structures within SCP-6818 contain elements of classical Greek and Arabic architecture, including domes, columns, and intricate calligraphy, as well as entirely new characteristics, such as a focus on polyhedra and slanted, incongruent angles. SCP-6818 shows signs of past habitation, including housing, recreational centers, public works of art, places of worship, and centralized monuments, though very little information has been gleaned about the civilization which once occupied the city. Neither human remains, vegetation, written records, or personal artifacts, such as clothes or possessions, have been found inside SCP-6818.

The majority of structures within SCP-6818 are entirely empty. It can be assumed that the civilization who once occupied the city possessed an incredibly high degree of technological sophistication, evidenced by the complex architecture and sophisticated layout of the city, though the exact nature of these achievements are lost.

The majority of SCP-6818’s public works depict a stern, ornately dressed, athletically built male figure making a closed-palmed gesture, constructed from an unknown material similar to marble in composition but scintillating, light blue in coloration. Despite their prominence, the identity of this figure is unknown.

The entirety of SCP-6818 is presently suffering an anomalous breakdown into ashy dust. This does not disturb the structural integrity of the buildings wherein, nor does this degradation adhere to gravity, as portions of buildings have been observed to stand mid-air with no support while breaking down.3 This process cannot be hastened or hindered, and has been observed to occur at a steady, prolonged pace. Foundation estimates have placed complete degradation of SCP-6818 by the year 2047.

Small traces of an unknown written language have been observed on public works, but translation efforts have proven futile. The sole exception to this is seen on a placard placed in front of a towering statue of the male figure, the text of which adheres to the native language of the observer. It has been transcribed below.

GROVEL AT THE FRUIT OF OUR BLOOD AND TOIL
WHICH STANDS UNMOVING AND TALL
AND HEAR THE SOUND OF OUR SPRAWLING STREETS
THAT CALL OUT HIS DIVINE, RESOUNDING NAME
OUR CONQUERED LANDS SHARE NO SUCH TITLE
NO WARS SHALL WEAVE THEIR TEARS
LOOK, VISITOR, AS WE SHARE YOUR TONGUE
NO KNOWLEDGE IS YOURS ALONE
AND TO THE FUTURE, MAY WE NOT FORGET
WHAT WORKS WERE CRADLED HERE
TO MOVE THE MOUNTAINS STONE BY STONE
AND TO TAKE THE STARS WITHIN OUR GRASP
THE ETERNAL, UNENDING, TESTAMENT THAT WE ARE HERE
AN EMPIRE FOREVER MORE

All individuals who exit SCP-6818 retain no memory of the city or their time spent within.
