Special Containment Procedures: SCP-X-J is to be held in a Safe-Class containment chamber. No personnel are to enter the containment chamber under any circumstances.
Description: SCP-X-J is a combat knife with a blade length of 15.24 cm. SCP-X-J has the anomalous ability to levitate and attack individuals via slashing or stabbing motions. It is currently unknown if or how SCP-X-J chooses targets.
SCP-X-J has yet to display its anomalous abilities while in containment, and they have not been witnessed by Foundation personnel at the time of writing. However, the consequences of SCP-X-J becoming animate are dire enough to warrant containment.
Recovery: SCP-X-J was discovered in [REDACTED], Iowa after the police were called to report a home invasion. When the police arrived, the owner of the home was dead on the floor with his recently-fired former employee, Troy █████, standing over him. SCP-X-J was on the floor nearby. The following is a transcript of the interrogation recording.

Troy: Sure.
Detective: Excellent. Now, I understand the victim was your former employer?
Troy grunts

Detective: And, Mr. █████, that gives you motive. You were found at the scene of the crime, near a knife covered with the victim's blood, and we’ve established that you had a motive. Do you have anything else to say before you are returned to your cell?
Troy: Uh…I didn’t do it…?

Troy: YEP! It did that!
